The day started as total shit. One of my teachers came and completely berated my work, disregarding what I had done and instead substituting a "so where's the work?" It made me feel really terrible because I was stressed out and couldn't really answer at the time, making my case worse than it really is.
Soon after, I was to retake a mock interview because the camcorder had run out of tape yesterday. I felt so bad I couldn't do it. At first, the teacher doing the interview insisted I do it, but when I went in the room and broke down in tears, he understood my situation and offered to postpone it until next week. Cool beans! My friends all helped me chill out and regain my composure too. Many props to them.
In the afternoon, I went to cast two more umbrella handles for another project. They actually turned out really nice! One was translucent black, and the other was smokey with streaks. They both turned out as I had intended, which is really cool. Along with the first one I made, they turned into a set of three handles from clear to smokey to black. Super happy.
So now, it's a Friday night and I'm still sitting at the computer lab, working on the project to please my douche of a teacher. I know it's not only to please him, and that it will serve a good purpose in my final presentation, but his attitude was just so demoralizing today. Unbelievable.
